Hi,

My friend is going to Canada for holiday soon and I am thinking of asking him to buy me the unlocked iPhone (and iPad) from there because it's cheaper (and hopefully available - seems impossible in the UK!).

Does anyone know if the unlocked iPhone 5 will work in the UK? I mean full functionality (LTE, etc) as if I was to buy the phone in the UK?

I tried asking around but haven't been able to get a conclusive answer so far, so thanks in advance!

That's very useful, thanks!

Now just need to decide if it's worth waiting for EE and hoping for a sim-only tariff (buy the iphone in the UK) or whether I should not worry about 4G (doesn't look like it will be launched across most networks until late next year?) and get it from Canada

Any thoughts on this welcome, thanks for answering my initial question
