iPhone 5 from USA - living in Greece

Hello Everyone! i need some advice fast! I got a friend in US that just bought me an iPhone 5 from apple store ( at&t ) the A1428 model . They told her that the phone is locked and she can unlock it online at the at&t site (? is there a link for that ? ) . SO i cant use it here in Greece ? What should i do ? Tell her to unlock it there in the US ? or tell her to get an A1429 model ? THANKS a lot every1 in advance!

The iphone is still sealed, so it has a sim guide inside ? and i can do this only in USA or here in Greece as well ?

hey. i'm from greece to. you can buy att unlock imei from ebay for like 4 bucks that will unlock the att phone but check the lte bands to see if it works with cosmote or vodafone or wind here in greece
