Iphone 5 Gold?

Sorry, but apple does not sell the iphone 5 anymore. The 5C is the closest model to the 5, but it does not come in gold.
The only Gold iPhones are the 5s and 6.
iPhone 5 was available in Silver and Slate.

It might be a mislabeled auction and you actually got a 5S. Can you post the link to it here? That might help people tell you if you got ripped off or if the person posting it just made a typo and forgot to say 5S.
It also may have been one that's been put in a new case. Fairly common practice amongst those who don't see it's a bad idea and know somebody who will do it for them. Do you have a link or screenshots of the eBay ad?
I once saw a Pink iPhone 5 with *Touch ID.
The guy who ownes the phone is convinced that It's a legit limited edition iPhone 5.

He is either telling porkies, is scamming you or the device is aftermarket and rebooted. Pictures of the listing?
