iPhone 5 headphone jack - No Mid or Bass Range

So I dropped my phone the other day and ever since, while using the 3.5 headphone jack the output is only high end treble.. no mid range or bass. I ended up discovering that if I press and hold just to the left of the home button, almost on top of the jack on the face it works fine. I tried cleaning the port with a q-Tip which didn't do the trick. Phone is out of warranty but I was wondering if anyone can help me identify the specific problem so I can fix it or go to a local shop. Thank you all.
