I am having a problem with my iPhone 5. My iPhones headphone jack seems to not be functioning at all. When I plug in my headphones, nothing happens. Audio will still come out of the main speaker. I have done a full restore, and it has not helped. I've been able to fix muted headphones before with a q-tip, but so far that has been useless. Has anyone here had anything similar happen to their iPhone?

My phone is a replacement that I have had for about 5 months with no problems. I am out of warranty.

I'd try taking a pin and fishing around in the jack. I had similar issues with my 5s. Turned out to be a huge amount of lint crushed into the bottom of the jack. Fished it out with a pin.

A quirt with some compressed air may also be worthwhile.

Does the jack go all the way in?

If you have tried other headphones and they are fully seated, your jack is bad. Air won't help.

Well, it looks like I've tried everything possible. Looks like I'm gonna have to do surgery and replace the parts. Thanks guys!
