I've tried Googling this for days, but could not find a good solution. My iPhone 5 (AT&T) keeps losing service. It will constantly go to "Searching..." on the top left corner, then sometimes state "No Service". If I toggle airplane mode, sometimes it will work again... sometimes not.

This happens very frequently, and I'd say I'm without service about half the day these days. This happens no matter where I am, even in areas where I normally would get full coverage. This has only become an issue recently.

I went to the AT&T store and got a new SIM card, but the problem still exists. I'm thinking about taking it to the Apple store, but with my warranty expired, I doubt they will do anything.

Any suggestions? Is this just a sign of my phone's old age?
