Hi everyone. I have been reading multiple threads about the home button clicking sounds. I want to get some advice. I waited 3-4 years to get a new phone and upgrade my iphone 3G to iphone 5. I absolutely LOVE the phone and it is working well but today (2 weeks later) I started to notice a "double click" when I press on the home button and it is more apparent when I am double clicking to shut off the apps instead of them running in the background. The other posts really don't address the double clicking but rather a louder than normal click. The button is working fine and maybe I am just being paranoid but is this going to be a problem? I don't want to take it to an apple store just to have them give me a refurbished one...for crying out loud I just paid $500 for a NEW one with the warranty. And I did not pay that for a lousy previously used broken one. Does anyone else have this double clicking noise and is there anyway I can fix it instead of taking it in? Any help would be appreciated.

If the factory Apple refurbished device with new battery and case works better than the was 'new' but is now used and broken device... what is the problem?

But I suppose if you don't want to use the warranty you paid for... you might be able to buy parts and do a self fix from iFixit.com

I bought the warranty for major issues not a noisy home button. I am asking for a possible fix?

If you're not experienced with opening up your device I'd stay away from repairing it yourself, and bring it in the Apple. You could always have them replace the home button with a new one, and that should fix the problem!
