iPhone 5 horizontal and vertical lines

Hi guys so I have had my iPhone five for about 18 months now. It's been in a case with an invisible shield since the day I got it, has never been dropped, and no damage. Today, all of a sudden while on Safari, the screen started showing lines running up and down. I've tried restarting it and updating to iOS 7.1.1 buy no to no avail. What should I do?

I'm trying to add a pic but can't figure out how to on my ipad, is it possible
