I noticed recently my iphone 5 has been acting weird lately......I first noticed it a few weeks ago the usual bink sound the phone makes when the lighting charging cable is plugged in the charging port, it's now vibrating instead of the normal bink sound.

The lock sound on the slider and the keyboard clicks no longer work when the option is turned on and I notice the keypad tone isn't working either when I dial a phone number. Any suggestions I'm stumped ?

Would a restore from itune backup fix the problem ? I have applecare plus coverage think apple would replace the phone ?.

I'll give the iTunes "restore as new" a try tomorrow and see if that clears up the software issue. Thanks for help ! :)

Well just thought I'd give an update I did the iTunes restore as factory new and still had the same sound issues.I called apple care and spoke with technical support and explained the problem. The first person I spoke with tried to trouble shoot and fix the issue but soon ran out of suggestions and transferred me to another apple specialist.

{Him} First question he asked was the little on/off sound switch next to the volume control red colored ?

{ME} Why yes it is....... I guess I never noticed I must have bumped it when I remove my rubber bumper case last time I cleaned my phones screen.

{Him} Says it happens quite often :D

{Me} Well that makes me feel a little better,But I still feel like an idiot  ;)

I was about to suggest that, haha! Yup, it happens way more often than you'd think. The other day I forgot to turn it back off and missed a very important call - I'll try not to make that same mistake again :).
