iPhone 5 in 6 weeks time?

Hello!

So, a mate of mine calls T-Mobile today to get an iPhone 4S. You know, that really good deal. £36 per month, Unlimited Texts, Unlimited Internet, 2000 minutes.
So anyway, she speaks to them and a T-Mobile operator says "I shouldnt tell you this but you're best off waiting as Apple are releasing the iPhone 5 in 6 weeks".

I pointed out to her that the iPad 3 would be out in about 6 weeks so maybe she was talking about that but apparently, no, its the iphone.

On a scale of 0 (NO CHANCE) to 10 (DEFINITELY), how sure are you of this 'rumor'.

Im saying NO CHANCE!!
 
Yep. I'm thinking about going stand in line tomorrow. Anyone wants to join me?

Maybe in 6 months. But to make sure I say you stand in line tomorrow. You will be first to get. Heck might as camp out for Black Friday.

I knew about the 6 weeks release date ages ago and pre ordered mine direct from the apple store.

My real name is Saint Nicholas ..... honest.

Rolls eyes.
 
0. What would the csr at tmo have to gain? Nothing. What would they have to lose? Possible commission, their jobs since its likely a recorded call, etc

No chance.

don't you tell me now that "your mate'' didn't really buy an iphone 4s after this "call"....I MEAN IS SHE gonna wait 6 weeks or 6 months now
 
All im trying to do is to convince her not to wait for something that wont appear in 6 weeks time and to just get the 4S like she planned!

I said I would post here as people are intelligent enough to know whats rumours, and what is just utter crap, so I could show her that Im not alone in thinking this is a load of rubbish!
 
Really bad attempt at starting a rumor. You could have at least picked a carrier that has the iPhone 4s.
