iPhone 5 / iPad Car Kit / Sat Nav solutions

Hi All

I have a iPhone 5s, iPad 4 and a Samsung galaxy s3 mini (work phone) I was looking car cradle and sat nav solution that will house all these devices when driving.

1) would you use your iPad or iPhone as a Sat Nav in your car?
2) What are the best and best looking car kits/cradles on the market?

My idea was too have both phones attached to the air vents and then for the iPad to be attached to the dashboard rather than the window.
