Based on how fast this was, I'm going to assume it was an exploit in iOS 6. If that's the case, every iOS 6 device would be jailbreakable with it. If that's not the case, then damn that's some fast bug finding
We still aren't going to get it soon. They will wait until Apple comes out with 6.0.1 in a couple months. Or maybe next month. It typically takes a month or two for 0.1 update.

If that's the case, it's most likely a tethered jailbreak. Given the in house design of the A6 SoC, I'd be surprised if we see an untethered jailbreak this year. Plus, the lightning port doesn't have a serial connection like the 30 pin did. I'm not sure how you would access the built in debugger. We may not see an untethered jailbreak for well over a year. Who knows, time will tell.
