Iphone 5 locked in boot loop - Logo just keeps dissolving and starting again

Hi,

I am looking for some help with my iphone 5. I was using it yesterday on the camera when all of a sudden the screen basically dissolved and I haven't been able to use it since. It will turn onto the apple logo but that stays on for about 5 seconds, dissolves then restarts again, continuously. It wont let me restore through itunes for some reason as I get a 4005 code error. Itunes recognises that it is stuck in recovery mode. I have an app at the genius bar tomorrow however I was hoping to find some advice on here to save me the journey.

Hi, I have tried this, computer recognises dfu mode, attempts to restore but no luck. This is where the error code 4005 comes up. Thanks for taking the time to reply though.

I'd say the Genius Bar will be necessary for that. Do you still have AppleCare?

No I don't. I imagine it may cost for a few £'s but hey oh, I need a phone so needs must.
