iPhone 5 - low in-call volume

Whenever I make or receive a call I can barely hear the person on the other end of the line. I have increased the volume to max during calls but it is still quite faint. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Take off the plastic

hahaha i did the exact same thing. didnt want to take off the front plastic until i had a case. made a few calls, could barely hear the person on the other side. realized i still hadnt taken off the plastic. lol.
