Called up Verizon CS and the guy was telling me how the iPhone 5 was launching next month and its already in production?

The only people who actually know are the people high up in Apple, AT&T, Verizon, and any other carriers Apple uses. Customer Service representatives know nothing, the guy was either telling you what he read on a rumor site, or making up a story so you would stay with verizon and be happy.

iPhone 5 next month!

If that happened apple would have pulled off their best surprise for years. There were pics of parts of the iPhone 4 for months before its release, (putting aside the whole stolen prototype), same with iPads and iPhone 3G.

There has been little credible info about the iPhone 5 out there. September at the earliest.

Well Apple can surprise everyone

1. Release iPhone 4 update with minor update, call it iPhone 4S.
2. Introduce iOS 5 and officially launch it a month or two later. iOS 5 will support both iPhone 4 and 4S

But then again, I have been wrong many times in life

I stopped in the Verizon store and that same guy showed me the iPhone 5 and let me play around with it. It's very nice the case is made from a unicorn's horn.

Although extremely unlikely, I suppose it is possible that apple is going to reveal the next iPhone at wwdc and all these rumors about September are to prevent a leak like they had with the iPhone 4.

All that said, there is no way a VZ employee knows anything about the next iPhone.

I hate these threads. :p

But yeah I think its really all up in the air right now on a new iPhone release. After last year's leak debacle, I feel like Apple could have something up their sleeves but then again I am doubtful if iOS 5 isn't ready.

If it's true that it isn't really a major upgrade? Why not? I mean maybe a 3.7" screen with a dual core processor and only available in black and everything's fine I guess.

Iphone 5? pffft. :p I already have the iphone 6 and am testing the iphone 7. Steve and I hang out at Buffalo Wild Wings on friday. Come join us sometime. He likes shoing off the ipad 5. Pretty impressive for a device that is only 1/4 inch thick.
