After deciding not to bother with the iPhone6, I thought I'd try and expand the lifespan of my iPhone5. It works fine apart from a dirty black smudge on every photo or video I take. I watched a couple of videos on youtube and it looked easy enough.

So I removed the screen. Gently undone the 3 screens and silver panel over the 3 screen connectors. Unclipped the connectors, and removed the screen completely. I folded the camera module back and cleaned it with compressed air and a cotton bud. I did the reverse of removal to refit everything but I am not getting no image on the screen at all. iTunes sees the phone so I know its on. But no image, I can only guess one of the connections is lose, even though the silver panel is back holding it down pretty firmly. Has anyone got any advice over what I could have done wrong on such a simple job?
