Iphone 5 noise while on speakerphone??

well i have my first apple phone and while I find alot of things much simplier and direct on this phone ...i have a couple issues

while on speakerphone....alot of the people i talk to complain about hearing loud strange noises then other times they here me clear

is there some setting i'm missing or something?
