I preordered the iPhone 5 and got the Oct 5 delivery date. It was shipped with UPS who originally gave me a delivery date for today, Oct 1, but Apple's email said Oct 2. It was changed to be delivered early on Friday the 28th once it got to Kentucky (I live in California).

Well it got to the "destination scan" Thursday night which is about 30 minutes from me, but never arrived Friday, then once the day was over the scheduled delivery changed back to today. It still says a delivery for today on my UPS tracking even though UPS doesn't deliver this late.

I am hoping it arrives tomorrow when Apple originally said it would, but why would UPS give me 2 incorrect delivery dates? Either Apple is telling them to hold it until tomorrow or something is wrong. Does anybody have a clue? Because its very confusing at this point, and UPS "customer service" doesn't know anything.

Call UPS in the morning if you don't see 'on vehicle for delivery'. If they've missed their estimated delivery date and you haven't seen any movement, it's possible that UPS has lost the package. If that's the case, you'll need to get UPS to verify that, and then you'll have to call Apple and have them send you a new phone (and UPS will reimburse Apple for the first phone). Hopefully they were just trying to meet Apple's delivery date (which is odd on a backordered phone, but that is what happens on launch day phones).

Thanks, if it doesn't come tomorrow I'll call Apple and UPS. I just don't know why UPS wouldn't tell me anything if they knew they had to wait to deliver it the 2nd, and give me 2 incorrect delivery dates. UPS is just easier to blame because they seem clueless.
