iPhone 5 Not Powering On

So Saturday, my iPhone 5 "died" so I plugged my phone. So as usual, the battery icon with the red bar popped up indicating it's charging. However, this icon shows for about 45+ minutes and the phone still won't power on. After constantly pressing the Home + Power button, the phone finally turns on.

Now today, the same issue. Only this time, it's not turning on. Any tips?
