iPhone 5 not ringing with incoming calls

Weird problem that just developed a few days ago with no conceivable trigger.

My phone won't ring when I have an incoming call. Message alerts are audible, music is audible, video is audible. Just no ringing!

I (of course) checked mute switch and DND, both are off. Sounds in settings are set correctly....it just won't ring!

Also, my alarm is audible when it is set to go off, but if I hit snooze, the second alarm is also not audible.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried a clean install and restore from backup?

Restarting the phone, followed by resetting network settings (if needed), followed by resetting all settings (if needed), might be worth trying before going down the path of restoring (although that might be necessary to try if those don't work).

Also, maybe try assigning a different ringtone to see if that might play a role?
