iPhone 5 on iOS6, want to jailbreak and go to 7.0.X to jailbreak! HELP PLEASE

Just bought an iPhone 5 on iOS 6. I want to jailbreak but the update from apple will take me right to 7.1 in which I cant jailbreak!

Any way to jailbreak iOS6 and then update to 7.0.X or am I pretty much out of luck to have a jailbreak?

The first Evasi0n jailbreak was for iOS 6, so do a Google search for it. They might even still have the download at the evasi0n.com site, IDK.

If you are on anything higher than 6.1.2 you will need a different jailbreak. There was one released shortly after the Evasi0n jailbreak for iOS 7. Again, you'll have to do a search, or just ask in the jailbreak forum here.

Here's a more simpler answer. You cannot jailbreak your phone on anything ios7 related. The best u can do is jailbreak your phone now on ios6 using evasion or something else.

Yep, what he said. Your options are pretty much to stay on ios6 jailbroken until the ios8 jailbreak comes out or update to 7.1 and be un-jailbroken.
