I can't find a thread for this so I'm going to make one. The idea is that is that whenever you get an update for an app that mentions iPhone 5 optimisation you can post in this thread. Until it gets to much to keep up with I will update this post with a list.

Temple run

Q: Will iPhone 5 apps work on previous generation iPhones?

The 16:9 ratio would have to be cropped on anything other than an iPhone 5 and new iPod Touch. Will devs take that into account or will some apps be unuseable because part of their UI is hidden?

The more important question is will there be a price difference between apps for the smaller and larger screen, like they did with the ipad?

I can't imagine apple allowing devs to make apps not capable with devices they still sell so those of us with 3.5" screens should be safe for another 2 years or so.

This is a tricker one, actually now I come to think of it if the answer is yes than my previous answer would be incorrect. But I don't think that apple would have 3.5" iPhone, 4" iPhone and iPad cattogries in the app store.

Edit: I should add that this is purely oppinion

Remember that only a few developers were given a heads up on the screen size change, so expect those changes to come later. Most of the apps that mention iOS 6 support right now are simply compatible. iOS 6 SDK builds are not yet being accepted into the App Store and probably won't be until the 21st.

I know that only a few developers where given a heads up on the screen size change but those few and the other few who would of risked altering their apps to run on the rumored 4" screen gave me enough reason to start this thread early.

I'm not looking for apps that mention iOS 6 support, I'm looking for apps that mention iPhone 5 screen size support, just to clear that up

ForeFlight

(Weather)

What category would you put foreflight under?

Firefight could be productivity, GPS, weather or even Misc

It's an aviation app

Apparently it's in the Weather category, but ct2k7 is right. It's a productivity app.
