Above.
Seeing as the rumoured iPad mini is said to be released around Oct/Nov, I was wondering if this will effect your decisions on getting the iPhone 5 when it comes out, or are you going to wait until the iPad mini unveil?

I haven't decided. I like my 4S. I don't have an upgrade until next year anyway, so there's not a huge reason for me to get a 5. So an iPad mini is intriguing, even though I have an iPad 3.

How about you?

Why not both? I'm considering it. Sounds like neither for you if you have a 4S and don't have an upgrade, and also have a iPad 3 already.

iPad mini.

I have a 4S. I'm not sold on the 5 based on the rumors. If I'll be upgrading to 5 it would solely be for the screen size. At which point I might as well go bigger and get an iPad mini.

You're comparing apples to ornges here.
One is a smartphone, and the other is a tablet.

A bit of a different twist on the issue for me.

If the iP5 doesn't really seem like a HUGE jump, I'll likely hold off for the iPad mini and get a Galaxy S3. That would let me still use my iTunes content and try a different phone.

Worst case scenario, I'll go back to the iPhone 4.

If the iPhone 5 is a leap, I'll likely get both.

Oranges.
And I was just asking because one has a bigger screen than it used to. And one will have a smaller screen than the one before it. So there is only a 3" difference give or take a tiny bit. I just figured with the screen being somewhat closer than a regular iPad vs. an iPhone would be a good question to ask.
Sorry to bother you.

If they could put a phone in the Mini, I would buy that in a heart beat.
OK I know, they wont do it but it would be awesome if they did.

Both, even though I have a 4s now.

the iphone will be a tethering tool for the ipad when i'm not in a wifi area.
