iPhone 5 - order online? Or wait to buy in store

New to forums.. looking to buy a 5 at full price since my droid is a worthless cracked POS. Upgrade isnt available until august. Are there any advantages to ordering it online now and waiting till late october ship? Or should I just wait till supply catches up with demand in stores?

If you want the certainty of receiving a phone and less stress, order online and wait.

If you want the phone sooner, play the 10:00 lottery with the Apple Store every night and check your local carrier & 3rd party retailers daily.

I don't expect supply & demand to align until after the holidays.

Another thing to consider is if you buy in store, you can check out the phone to make sure there are no scuffs/dents/whatever people are finding.
