Hi! So I got really lucky and was able to reserve an iPhone 5 online tonight, and I'm absolutely so excited about it! However, I'm confused on the picking up process. I've spoken to many Apple employees and it seems as if they all have different answers to my questions. So I figured I should come here to ask people who have already been through the process. So here are my questions:
1. I'm trying to cross-upgrade with my mother's line, and I want to do it over the phone with at&t, so will Apple let me just take my iPhone home, unboxed and unactivated? An Apple care rep said that I can absolutely take my phone home unboxed and unactivated, but I just want to make sure.
2. What form of ID do I need to be able to pick my phone up? A few Apple employees said that I must have a state-issued ID, but the last one that I spoke to told me that I only need the order number and the card that I bought the phone with, which I have. I don't have my driver's license yet, but I do have a permit that has my name and my address on it. So I'm really confused about what exactly I need to bring to be able to pick my phone up, so if anyone who has already picked theirs up could enlighten me, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
