Well that sucks.....

It's not like Apple to have an event and release a product so much later is it?

actually i doubt they will release it that late. if they would really release it that late they would have held the iphone event later i guess

last year the lets talk iphone event was on the 4th of october and if i remember correctly pre ordering started on the 7th and it was available on the 14th of october. not 100% sure tho

oh come on! you cant seriously believe that its coming out a month later!?

sept 12 annouced and sept 21 released!

enought said.

This crappy source wouldn't be the only ones to know of this if it were true.

For the 4S:

Announced: 4th
Pre-orders: 7th
Available: 14th

So for the 5:

Announced: 12th (Definite)
Pre-orders: 14th (Estimate)
Available: 21st (Rumor)

For the 4S:

Announced: 4th
Pre-orders: 7th
Available: 14th

So for the 5:

Announced: 12th (Definite)
Pre-orders: 14th (Estimate)
Available: 21st (Rumor)

They're pretty consistent with the iPhone 4S & New iPad releases that is they are released the next week after the initial announcement on a Friday. Hope the same pattern holds.

3/7 Wednesday: New iPad announced & pre-orders begin
3/16 Friday: Available in stores & shipments arrive

All that document shows is a roadmap for better iPhone training for Sprint sales staff.

As far as I know carriers don't get training information for new iPhone models and iOS versions ahead of time, so maybe this new training is going to occur over the course of a month after the iPhone 5 / iOS 6 announcement.

I don't see how this ties directly to the actual availability date of the iPhone 5.

Delays are a fact of life. But apple wouldn't announce next week if it wasn't ready to ship.

Would they really wait a month after holding a conference for it? Think about it. Building up all that hype, then telling people, "oh, you can't buy it until next month" is just a bad idea. That could result in a drop of sales. They'll have it ready the week after announcing it.

Seriously doubt that Apple will announce it next week and then launch it after more than a month later.

It's only Sprint that would be in Oct.? I have AT&T, so I assume we would get it on time....

I hope its worth the wait i hope Apple throws in a few surprises with Nokia today releasing their first wireless charging phone, I hope apple will introduce at least a innovative mag safe connector.

I never upgraded to the 4s when it came out. It wasn't enough of an increase from the 4 IMHO. Since I didn't upgrade, I don't remember when the pre orders started. It was two days after the announcement? I thought it was always right after the announcement.

you must be crazy or wanting to flush your money to upgrade to the same thing i believe that 2 years is ok to upgrade your handset especially if you are on contract as you pay less than getting it outright.
