hi guys,
what can expect for the pricing for the iphone 5, my mum promised me one for my birthday in December and i need to give her a rough price estimate.
sorry it is so vague.
thanks connor

The iPhone will most likely follow the same pricing as before.

Base model with two year contract: $199
Second model with two year contract: $299
Off contract: $599

Carriers know the magic number never to cross (if you want to be successful) is the "$199 with two year contract" number. $250 is too high and people will naturally lean away from it.

is off contract really only $599? That doesn't seem right b.c why would anyone do subsidized upgrades....

$199(2 year price)+$250(upgrade price)+$36(activation price) = $506+ tax....that seems like a rip off.

i thought off contract was closer to $700

I'm thinking $650. And yes, subsidized upgrades are ripoffs.

I think it'll stay the same as what previous carriers offered when the other iPhones came out. I doubt the price will go up or down, but if it gets cheaper... :D:D:D
