iPhone 5 question

I am on a family plan with my wife. I did not qualify for the discount but she did. So I bought the new iPhone on her phone number. When it ships to me, can I register it to my number or do I have to call AT&T to do this for me?

You would most likely have to call and get the phones switched you may be able to do it on line.

I'm no expert, but when I did this I had to go into an AT&T store to make the swap. It was in and out though.

That is my concern. This will be hard to do on th 21st. I doubt you can get in and out.

I don't know specifically how AT&T runs their LTE network, however the sim on the new iPhones probably cannot be flashed over the phone/network. So, you'd have to go into the store to get a new sim and/or have it re-flashed to your phone number as it will be shipped with your wife's information.

Seems a trip to the store is inevitable.
