So I called my local RadioShack and surprisingly they had a few iphones left so they held one for me. I went in and proceeded to use my second line's upgrade for my primary line. He said it wouldn't be a problem and to make a long story short after almost 1.5 hours I hear "UH-OH!"...
He upgraded my line incorrectly and "swapped" instead of using the alternate upgrade on my account and locked my IP5 to the secondary line. The person helping him on the phone said there was nothing they could do and that it had to stay locked on for 24 hours before the sim could be "unlocked" and activated on my line.
I left very mad with an iphone 5 for my secondary line and my primary line was still the 4. So I called a rep on the way home who was SUPERIOR with her service and she got my 2 iphone 4's back working and now I have to wait until 7am EST to turn my phone on and go online and swap it out with my current phone...
Very frustrating. Apparently when you buy a phone the sim card locks to the iphone for 24 hours (however I can activate it as early as 7am now)...
What a night...anyone else with bad experiences upgrading their phone?
Ultimately it was MY fault for trusting RadioShack to properly upgrade my line... Maybe that is why they have phones available....
