iPhone 5 Randomly Shutting Down

Hi,

In the past week, my iPhone 5 has been randomly shutting down and then restarts itself.

I've had this phone for about a year and a half and I've never had this issue occur before and was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem and what steps did you take to resolve it? Thanks!

My (old) iphone 5 would crash like you describe after I updated to iOS 7.

Is this a new behavior since updating to iOS 8?

I narrowed my problem down to a data manager app that was no longer supported. Once I deleted that app the crashing stopped.
