iPhone 5 release date?

My brother-in-law's cousin's housekeeper knows someone who knows a distant friend of Tim Cook's mailman.

He said October 12. Take it to the bank.
 
The 5th generation iPhone is already on the shelves. Best not to dub it by name else people will detest it despite that it boasts every new feature people hoped for.

I have no guess on the eta because I will be upgrading to whatever is newest in December when my upgrade is available. Even if it is still the 5th generation iPhone.. aka iPhone 4S.
 
The August launch was rumored. Thus, it will be certainly launched between August and October.

My son and I were actually just discussing this, and what options they might go with.
We came up with:
iPhone 5
iPhone 6 (and iOS 6)
The New iPhone (after the new iPad)

But we do agree it'll come out about the same time iOS6 is released.
 
I can upgrade October 1st, so hopefully any time after that so I can pre order! Im sure its going to be a PAIN trying to get a hold of one for a while.

You might want to read some of the 4,893 messages posted here with the guestimatted release date. Many also include the tech specs, pricing and color options.

Also, the macrumors folks have posted many articles about parts, dates, etc.
 
Does MACRUMORS not believe in a sticky thread for the iPhone 5 speculation/talk?

I mean, they KNOW the phone is coming, why not a subforum for it? Or at least a sticky discussion thread, with possible release dates/ info
 
A date between here and now, before then and yet not there but is here but shall not be then of when to the time of now to not yet.

I think Apple will hold an event at the start of September and the phone itself will be released towards the end of September/start of October.

Also include a sticky sub forum on how it is going to look and another for those that want to inject what it will be called while they are at it. :D
 
September or October. I'm hoping for September though, the earlier the better. I need a new phone!

You're one of those guys who HAS to upgrade the second their eligible, huh? No matter what's available. Your decision is solely based on what's "newest"? That just seems so stupid to me. And the new iPhone will be out for a few months by then...But if it wasn't, you would get the 4S? Even if the iPhone 5 (aka the new iPhone) was a month or 2 away?? That's even more ludicrous.
 
I heard from my doctor who also happens to be Scott Forstall's doctor that it will be October the 2nd or the 9th.
