Planning on getting the iPhone 5 when it is released in Canada (Quebec), can't seem to find this anywhere but what carriers will have the phone from the first day of release. I seem to remember some carriers getting the iPhone 4s months after some of the main companies (Bell, Rogers).

I got my 4S on Rogers on release date. Second person to snag one in town, in fact.

I don't think there will be any delay. Anyway, Apple usually mentions when the iPhone will become available in each country during the Keynote.

From what I remember the big 3 got the iphone 4s the same day as in the states

It hasn't officially been announced yet, but when it is, most likely, all three major carriers will have the iPhone at the same time.

There is a reason you can not find this information.

It has not been announced yet.
Has not been released yet.
Heck, even invitations to a POSSIBLE announcement do not exist yet.

This information will not be available until at least the day it is announced.

Historically from previous releases in Canada, Apple will have the most stock and best guaranteed chance to get one, but you are looking at HUGE lineups.

The big guys, Rogers and Bell, will have a lot smaller lineups, but their stock is spotty at best. In big urban centres like Toronto and Montreal, they'll get a bit more stock, but sometimes they only get a handful.

Other places like BestBuy sometimes have barely any lineup at all, and they'll get some stock, but it can be spotty. For the iPhone 4S, local Best Buy only had about 6 models, mostly 16GB's and mostly white models.

For the 4S, Rogers also had some sort of "pre-order" system, but it was a hot mess and no-one who participated got a phone on the date.
