I have a 16gb that I perordered and got on launch day that I want to exchange for a 32gb. I called a few stores in my area and they told me they are only doing purchases via the reservation system on the Apple site. But it's my understanding that you have to sign a new 2-year contract in order to reserve one on the site. The guy at one store told me to do that and then they could process my exchange and cancel the contract. That makes me nervous in case something goes wrong and I end up with 2 lines. Is this the only way all stores are doing it? How is everyone else able to exchange their phones? I know I have 30 days to return, so I'm assuming (HOPING) availability will increase a week or two into October.
