Resolved iPhone 5 ringtone bitrate?

iPhone 5 can handle AAC (8-320 Kbit/s) when it comes to playing music but what about ringtones? Same?

What do you use?

Not sure but custom ringtones sound horrible. They are dumbed down. It's a bug that's been around since IOS 5. Same custom sound file on text tone, etc sound fine.

Same. 256kbits mp3 to 256kbits m4a (mp4), sounds as ringtone exactly like the mp3 when played via music app.
