Does anyone have a hard time seeing the iPhone 5 screen with polarized sunglasses on? There's a purple haze and the screen is pretty dim.

I didn't have these problems on the 4S.

The new screen technology probably is causing this...

I couldn't see my 4 at all with my polarized. The screen on my 5 actually looks better thru my glasses.

All LCD screens have polarizing films and it totally depends on the orientation of the film(s)in the screen an the polarization layer in your glasses. It can not be planned for by the LCD manufacturer since it will vary depending on the brand and even the manufacturing run of the glasses.

I noticed this as well. I seem to remember there being a slight effect when I had my sunglasses on and used my iphone 4, but it is much more pronounced with the 5
