So I baby my phone and never drop it, ever. As I'm using it today, in the middle of scrolling on safari, my screen turns blue. Hugh thick blue lines on the screen. I took it apart, just to make sure all the connections were good, put it back together and still blue. The longer the screen is on, the darker the blue gets, eventually to the point of not being able to see anything, and then a pink thick line comes down the middle of my screen. Do you guys have any idea what happened? And my warranty is way out of date, and no apple care +, basically just screwed.

That stinks.. resale value, ouch.

Hope you were planning on the 6. Only a few more weeks!

The screen or screen cable is damaged somehow. Was it dropped or get water damaged?

Nope, never dropped it! I was on my phone using it and it just went blue while I was scrolling. Strange.

And not planning on the 6, well at least any time soon. Perfectly content with my 5 for the time being. I'll just replace the screen!

Schedule a genius bar appointment. They can take a look at it for you and offer any applicable service options in-store.

The 5's suffer from display issues. You LCD took a dump, that's what happened. Get a cheap replacement or pay Apple 5X the amount to get a refurb.
