Iphone 5 screen

Dears,

I got my iPhone 5 - 2 weeks ago and suddenly yesterday I noticed a white spot on the top right of the screen take a look at the screen shot, I couldn't tell if its a dead pixel/stuck pixel /scratch. Any ideas?
BTW It's more visible/noticeable only on white backgrounds.

** I never recall that I dropped it and I have a protection shield on it.

I live in Lebanon, so there are no such things as apple care/shops. Iphones here are illegal in Lebanon. I called a local shop they said it will cost 250$ for replacing the screen... I am not paying for this...

Yes, sucks! But the thing is how could it be scratched when this part of the screen is still smooth as the rest part of the screen. It doesn't feel any scratches when you put your finger on it. Its like an inner scratch?

I talked with apple support thru chat, and he said do a backup/restore as a last solution and if it doesn't you cannot do anything since your country does not support Iphones...
