iPhone 5 speaker during calls problem?

Hello everyone well yesterday I purchased my iPhone 5 white for Verizon I quickly examined it for the known issues people where reporting mine didn't have any scratches, purple color when taking photos, and and light leaking issues. But I noticed when I make a call and the volume is the all the way up the people sound really faint and far should take it to apple? Or is there any way to fix this

Not to be obvious, but did you remove both of the plastic films? Some people had left them on while waiting for ordered cases to arrive & that is the side effect.

Sounds like the phone may not be on speaker.

I assumed the OP wasn't hearing properly thru the ear. OP, is that correct?
