First, this is taken from a Verizon commercial ad posted on YouTube...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inlKI2j_cYc

Here is the screenshot spotted at 4 and 5 seconds.

This appears to show an LTE iPhone 5 with a bigger screen.

Do you think this could be the next iPhone?Thoughts?Comments?

Edit: Updated with a slightly clearer screenshot.
Edit 2: Looks like the same as an iPhone 4. But the ad says 4G phones...?

Literally the same size as an iPhone 4. Put your thumb up near the screen like that guy is. What makes you think this looks any different?

:edit: didn't watch the ad before posting. I don't understand how such blatantly false information gets past so many eyes. That is definitely an iPhone 4 that even says "Verizon 3G" where the carrier info is in that closeup.

...so odd.

That looks like an iPhone 4 to me. Although the video begs the question, why is Verizon advertising the iPhone 4 as LTE? Second of all, it looks like a parody video except the account is an official.

That was my thought, too. It looks like a commercial done by some high school kids.

The pic you just posted looks like it says "3G." (blurred)

The video description says it's a winning entry from some contest or something (not made by Verizon). They just use the iPhone in the video because it's the "coolest" phone Verizon carries right now.

I see in the description that it's a video done for a contest. Which may explain why it seems unprofessional. But doesn't really explain why Verizon let them show an iPhone 4 as a 4G device...

tardman91 also said this ^ seconds before me :)

someone made a mistake. on the iPhone next where it says verizon in the status bar is says 3G. and the "ATT" phone looks like the droid or droid 2 which is only on verizon.

Clearly that's an iPhone 4, but no where in the ad is it stated so. We all know the device is incapable of the two - 4G and LTE. Either the Verizon people made a mistake or they just wanted to use their flashiest phone. Way to confuse the consumers.

Last time I checked, this is MacRumors. Rumors are rumors, whether they're credible, dumb, or irrelevant to you.

But why post them when they are so obviously false. I could post "Hey I spotted the iPhone 5" along with a picture of a cloud, would that be good? I mean it would be a rumour. iOS5 is cloud based right?

There comes a point when people need to think critically for themselves.

LOL, that's pretty funny.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_10 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8E600 Safari/6533.18.5)

Verizon is notoriously bad, at least with android on their terms used to describe phones, last year the droid x originally said on their site to have 720p screen. I've seen pix of the bolt running wp7 as well. So they may have acidently put an iPhone in a 4g ad or something. Who knows. I didn't look at the stuff u posted in a lot of detail

The Verizon phone is an iPhone on 3G and the AT&T phone is an Android phone (I can't tell, it's running Tegra 2 and it's a plastic brick) on 4G. Verizon seems to like Apple devices more.
