Hello guys, i know it may be a silly question but, i just got the iPhone 5 and for the most part i´m happy with my purchase.
since reading all the threads about the iPhone 5 bending i´d like to hear some advice and suggestions for taking care of the device.

Right now, out of the box i´ve installed protector films on both front and back and put it on the incipio dual pro case, but i´ve read that even that is not enough and in some cases the iPhone bends.

so telling from those of you that had more time using it and not bending, i´d like to hear some advice of taking care of the device.

Thanks in advance.

dont put it in your back pocket when you sit down

This is probably the major cause for bending - I'd say keep it in your front pocket and you should be ok. I keep mine in the front pocket and its been fine

How does 2 thin sheets of protector prevents bending? They must be some kind of super-high tech invention - NOT.

i didn´t wrote that down because it seems more than obvious to me, can´t believe people actually do that.

thanks :D

Spend enough time in this forum and regale yourself with perfectly serious questions like: It is OK to keep my phone in the pants during a downpour? and more recently, What happens when I drop my iPhone?

ever since I know that the iphone 5 can bend, I always hold my phone in a case and never put it in my pocket.

How many people here would bet the i6 will STILL BE THINNER than the i5? I mean comeon after awhile, it seems ridiculous but Apple is obsessed with thin.

I Just don't see how are they going to make it thinner

Thinner with perhaps the same aluminum casing ? More bending complaints since it will now be easier to bend. Nope, not going to happen ;)

I am surprised Apple still uses aluminum. My 10 years old Sony obsolete laptop uses magnesium. There are lots of metals that are stronger than aluminum given the same thickness. OK, they maybe more expensive but how much more material are we talking about.

the i5 seems to use aluminum all around too, not just the back. Remember the 4's ring? that's is stainless steel, stronger.

Buy a mobile phone not made out of beer cans, like the upcoming plastic iPhone.
