Ok so, longtime reader maybe posted once or twice never needed help until now.

For starters, i'm an idiot you'll see why when I tell you the following: Had an unlocked 4S that I've been running on T-Mobile. Unlocked it through a 3rd party site while I still had my original providers sim card (AT&T). Recently acquired an iPhone 5 32GB that I also just unlocked (kinda) via a 3rd party site.

Now my problem: Being the genius i am, didn't realize you need a sim from the original carrier of the phone. I have no service with AT&T now, an AT&T iPhone 5 that got unlocked via that site, and an active T-Mobile sim card that is coming up as "unsupported" when I plug the phone into iTunes. So I have no way to restore the phone to complete the unlock.

Do I have any options at all other than selling the phone and buying a T-Mobile version? Can I even sell the phone as an unlocked phone?

Thanks for any help or info that can be provided.

Yours truly,
Lord of the Idiots (aka Rich)

Take the SIM card out of the phone and restore it with iTunes.

Then Put the Tmobile SIM card back into it and go through the on screen activation steps. There shouldn't be any problems.

Wow. I just figured it out if anyone cares. The person gave me a different box so the serial and IMEI numbers were different. For the hell of it I checked the phone and noticed the difference. So I'm still an idiot but at least I solved the problem! :D

iPhone 5 Unlocked (kinda) need help bad!

Have you ever ask/contact the 3rd party site about this problem. I think they could help you out. By the way if all process goes right, as soon as you connect to iTunes your phone should have been unlocked.
