Carrier Iphone 5 Unlocking ATT2Verizon Question

This is my first post, so I guess bear with my ignorance on the subject.

I have an iphone 5 that is an AT&T model. I want to get it to work with Verizon. I plugged in the verizon sim and no go. I lurked around and found a link on this forum for unlocking via an AT&T request online. Found here:

I filled it out and submitted. It says wait two business days for a reply. I want to know if I'm just wasting my time waiting 2 business days. I think AT&T is GMS and Verizon is both GSM/CDMA. So I basically want it to work with both voice and data. Any thoughts? I'll continue to look for my answer and if I find it, then I'll post the link/info.

The Verizon iPhone 5 will work with Verizon and AT&T or other GSM carriers but the AT&T iPhone 5 will only work with AT&T or other GSM carriers. The AT&T iPhone 5 is missing the CDMA chip that will be needed to be used on Verizon.

I read a bunch of old threads that said that it won't work, but I guess I was hoping for something changing with the networks. Guess not. Thank you for the help.

Won't work - doesn't have CDMA radios. Unlock the iP5 and then sell it here:

There is nothing the carriers can do - your phone is already built. It doesn't have CDMA radios. Won't work on Verizon.
