iPhone 5 upgrade, scratches etc

So I did a cross upgrade (dads line) for the 5 on the 21st. Then returned that phone the next day because of scratches, rebought on the 22, they swapped lines, put a new sim card in my dads old flip phone, etc.

Now its saying he still has an upgrade. Is this normal?


Anyways we just bought another 5 for 200$ , lol.
