Has anyone that has the new iphone been able to hear the other person clearly when your on the phone? I could barely hear my friend and my volume was turned all the way up. anybody else have this issue?

Try talking to a few different people - could be your friend's phone or the phone was farther away from their face than normal.
Yes, just got mine working now and i can just about hear the other person. Im with Orange but the network says EE at the moment. Anyone know whats up?
not on speaker. one friend was on speaker and he took it off but it slightly improved. so far only spoke to 2 people on it.
I've only made one call on mine so far and it sounded AWFUL, but I'm almost 100% certain the problem was on the other end. The only call I made was to BioWare's support line to get my SWTOR mobile security key transferred over to my new phone. I could barely understand the guy on the other end, but again, I'm pretty sure the problem was on their end.
only made one call- my sister was cooking and had me down. Was low, but then she took me off speaker!! had to lower it was loud and clear at that point.

This. I've be dumbfounded in previous years when I read this was one's problem. Lol.
While it may seem obvious, it isn't. I've seen plenty of people who thought that was just a screen protector.
