Has anyone had any luck just walking in to a store and finding the phone in stock recently? I've got to imagine we're getting close to this finally be a little more likely.

Foxconn factory strikes.
Hysterical demand.
Holiday season approaches.

I wouldn't expect such until mid January.
 
Much to my surprise, yes, at a Target in Dallas. Saturday morning right at opening, 10:00. Got a black 16GB on AT&T
 
yesterday, I walked into my local Verizon with two iphone 4 with ATT, I did not call ahead or anything. I walked out with a black and white iphone 5 32gb with verizon.. Dude said he had 8 more black 32gb in the back.
