I've recently upgraded from an iphone 4s to 5 and the 5's wifi issues are driving me up the wall.
Laying next to my 4s, the 5 will randomly drop wifi and sometimes not reconnect until I move it around a bit while the 4s signal stays rock solid. The 5's signal strength also varies much more than the 4s (it's never better of course, only worse). I can even put a death grip on my 4s and it's signal will not degrade. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the 5. Range is also worse.
I've tried hard resets, forgetting the network, and even so far as resetting all network settings with no improvement in wifi connectivity. I'd really like to get some advice on how to fix this since I keep eating into my 3GB data plan which I try to reserve for when I'm not around wifi.
Any ideas?
