Go to Wifi, then click on the Blue arrow next to whatever network your trying to connect to, then scroll down and turn HTTP Proxy from "Off" to "Auto" and leave the URL Blank. Then your wifi speeds should be fixed! You gotta do it for every network you connect to but only once. Hope this helps, it worked for me!
 
Seems very unlikely this will help - its essentially turning on wpad. Unless of course you are connecting to a network with a non transparent proxy....
 
Nope.
Still freezes up and it's not pulling any data from my home wifi.
This getting annoying. It did it to 2 other wifi networks today.
I'm using tons of more carrier data lately cause wifi is very unstable on this phone.
