iPhone 5 with Ios 7.1 power on problem

Before 7.1 If I used all power and phone shut down, it will automatically power on after charged 5%. Now with 7.1 this function disappeared.

Does it power on at a different percent now or never? I don't run my phone down until it dies often but I thought the last time I did the phone did power back on after a bit and this was after upgrading to iOS 7.1

So I just tested mine and it powered on at 5%.

It was on when it died and when I plugged it in the battery / charging indicator on the screen was visible. I could even press the home button to see the indicator.

I don't know if it would be any different if the phone was off when the battery died.

The only other thing I could think of is the rest of the hardware. I'm using Apple's cable and charging cube.
