iPhone 5 wont charge in my car.

Hello all. Loving the new iPhone so far, however I was unable to get it to charge in my 2011 Volkswagen.

I have two different cig lighter usb chargers. One no name brand and one Kingston I bought from Apple. Both work when charging the 4S. But when I plug the lightening cable in, the iPhone 5 does not charge. . . .

Anyone else having an issue?

If not, what kind USB charger are you using?

I just bought a universal rocketfish USB car charger from BB ($15 I think) while waiting for an actual iP5 charger to come out, used it with the lightning cable and worked just fine.

Get apple to exchange your cable. Its worth a try.

I have a 2011 VW myself. Haven't tried it yet. Will in a few and let you know.

Just your car or any outlets.

It charges fine on my BMW x6 with the apple adapter.

Tried my 2011 VW today and it charged just fine. I have a 12v Griffey USB charger.
