My phone stopped charging properly the other day. I noticed after plugging it in overnight when I woke up the next day it was at 38%. I tried a different cable, and even my iPad power adapter. I was able to somehow get it to charge yesterday but today no matter what I tried it won't charge. The odd thing is that the battery indicator is showing as charging and if I plug into a computer the USB data works fine. So I'm not sure if it's a battery issue or an issue with my pins.

It doesn't sound like a battery problem. iPhone 5 battery should last longer than 3 years. Take it to an Apple Store, they will take care the rest with no cost since your phone is still under Apple's first year warranty.

Try rebooting your phone,if that doesn`t help try restore from backup, or like it was said take it to apple store since you have a warranty.
